As part of our activities on creating awareness and
enhance the skills of the
volunteers of NDSO and students of MGTC, series of sessions were organized.
Ø “SuzhalArivom” - Environmental
Awareness is a process that allows individuals to
explore environmental issues. People who are well connected to the
nature understand the environment better.
Making them to know the environmental challenges
better is the first step in that direction. As part of our efforts, online series
of interactive conversations on Environment from “Suzhal Arivom” continued for
NDSO Mahatma Gandhi Tuition Centers(MGTC). This time we had Mr Geo Damin on 23.01.2021
talking on “Factors for climate change and its impact on marginalized people”.

The introductory

volunteers and teachers, who swiftly transmitted the learning into acts and
introduced sports and activities for their students.
Based
on the conversations certain sports related activities are planned for the next
quarter.
Ø Communication

Online “Spoken English” classes by Ms Ambika of Silver

29.01.2021 for the NDSO Teachers & Volunteers.
A remarkable progress is expected to
happen with the trainees in about six months from now.

People at Bridge
are overwhelmed by the support extended by all the above mentioned persons who
have invested their time to improve the lives of the underprivileged.
Hope more people
come forward to support such a genuine
cause.
People at Bridge are
proud to inform that we started to honor people who have rendered excellent
services to the society.
Warriors of all kind are honoured always. Bridge feels that we are duty bound to identify
people, projects and organizations involved in improvement of the society and honor
them. “Maram” Karuppiah from Ariyalur
District is 91 years old and bedridden now. Until recently he was very active
in planting trees across the region. He had lakhs of trees planted in the past
4/5 decades. When it was learnt that he needed support, we have decided to
fulfill the family’s monthly needs of groceries from January 2021 onwards https://www.facebook.com/BridgeForPeople/posts/192209155929125
This is planned
as a regular campaign for support from friends & relatives. All are welcome
to support and pay the veteran back a little in appreciation of his work. We
are looking for sponsors/donors from the month March onwards.
People at Bridge want to thank NDSO and Elavarasan of
“SWEET Boys Trust” Ariyalur https://www.facebook.com/prince.lmnd to make the above happen smoothly.
Other proposed activities
planned to begin soon are :-
1.
Collection and
distribution of used dress materials and goods.
*A little activity has already started with some used
clothes distributed at places like Chinnavadavadi.
2.
Career guidance and
helping the students from 9th standard onwards to prepare for
entrance exams.
3.
Guidance and help
for preparing to succeed in competitive exams for Government / PSU jobs
For all the above activities
, People at Bridge need support from everyone. Hope more people will come
forward to share their resources.
